Play to a Full House: Every Night!

At Arts Marketing Results we know the value of being able to simply hire an expert to "just do it for me." We are also big believers in the long term value of "teaching a man to fish." Individual arts organizations and the communities they serve are all deeply enriched when everyone in the arts becomes more proficient at audience development. Because of this we provide a variety of consulting and training options in addition to our standard marketing services. Scroll down or use the links below to explore how these services can help your organization. >>> |
| Consulting | Training | Workshops |
| Individual Consulting: Individual arts marketers or administrators may benefit from targeted one-to-one consulting with either Mari Geasair or Michelle Webb. We offer these consultations by phone at the hourly rate of $100 per hour. These sessions can be focused in any way you need. Please e-mail at theteam@artsmarketingresults.com for further details. |
|
For larger organizations looking to train staff, educate board members and energize volunteers around new audience development and initiatives we offer extended on-site training and consulting. Our day rate is $2,200 per day for Mari Geasair as the sole consultant trainer, and $2,800 per day for both Mari Geasair and Robert Payo; plus travel expenses. We recommend 2-4 days, including on site consulting and marketing plan development with key staff, and an extended group workshop with full staff and board participation in order to get the best results. Please e-mail us for further details. |

Stop wasting money on theatre marketing that doesn’t work, and time on a social media plan that is inadequate.
You can grow your theatre audience through Social Media- if you know how to do it right!
Join us for a step-by-step guide to using social media tools like Facebook, Meetup, YouTube blogs, newsletters and more to get people actively engaged in attending your performances and helping you to grow your organization. Unlike most social media workshops- this one is exclusively for THEATRE and will address the unique needs challenges and opportunities when marketing live performing arts on-line.
We will cover:
• How to prepare your website for your social media campaign and why, if your site is not ready, your social media campaigns might not work.
• How social media differs from traditional marketing and why it’s growing so fast
• 5 golden rules for effective social media communication
• The most effective ways to use social media to increase participation and tools that will save you time and effort
• 5 key social media tools and where they are best used – including Facebook, Meetup, YouTube, Groupon and blogs
• The 3 key mistakes most Theatres make that dilute or nullify their social media efforts and how to avoid them.
• Ways to get ahead of the social media curve so that during the busy times in your marketing season (which are also the busy times in your production schedule) your organization doesn’t “drop the ball.”
• The hidden social media tool that is uniquely suited for theatres but that few people talk about when they talk about “social media marketing.”
• Case studies of best practice from small, mid-sized and larger regional theatres that have all used Social Media to increase audience participation and reduce marketing costs.
Who Can Benefit From This Workshop:
This online workshop is aimed at organizations that are just starting out using social media for promoting activity, or who have attempted to use social media and found themselves stagnating or getting less return on their time investment than they had hoped. Your organization might have a Facebook page, or Twitter profile, or be experimenting with Groupon and Meetup but be wondering what to do with it and if what you are doing is actually driving audiences to your venue or just wasting your time. Or you might not have anything set up at all. Either way we can help you refine your process, gain confidence and track your results.
Because this is not a two hour “lecture and leave” workshop, but an ongoing in-depth class you will be able to apply your learning in a variety of ways and from a variety of viewpoints. As a result, marketing managers, artistic directors, managing directors and interns and volunteers can all benefit from this workshop and contribute to their organization afterwards while maintaining their unique roles and perspectives.

For almost all midsized arts organizations it IS possible to build a new and vibrant audience base, even in a bad economy.
Significant growth is possible when you start taking audience development as seriously as you take artistic development:
Perfect for marketing staff, artistic directors and artists hoping to start their own organizations. This four-day seminar will take you through the basics of redefining your market niche, creating a compelling message and developing a new plan of innovative marketing strategies. You will explore ways to make your message more effective and get it out to new audiences. You will leave the workshop with your own personalized written plan of action for attracting and keeping new audiences and new volunteers. "Audience development is a special form of marketing that requires more than just the mastery of traditional marketing techniques, such as direct mail, series subscription drives, membership drives or advertising and press campaigns. Audience development is the merging of marketing techniques with relationship-building skills, because in order to have a lasting impact on your prospective audiences, the relationship must be both personal and institutional. Your mission is to make a connection with your audiences' hearts by demonstrating the value of incorporating the arts into their lives." Donna Walker-Kuhne |
